I could have spent hours and hours just listening to you talk about your experiences and the things you have done and witnessed. My Grandmother was a very spiritual woman and had a 'gift' also... since she's been gone there really isn't anyone else I can turn to for answer to all the many questions I have. I am hoping maybe I will find some of them in your books. So often the answers just lead to more questions for me though. I think you have an amazing spirit and there is a peace that radiates from you that immediately sets people at ease. At least for me anyway. Nothing else but him in the pic would be blurry and it was everytime he was making contact. I took a video of him using the dowsing rods in the kitchen. I am sorry I couldn't give more insight but obviously I was taken over by the energy in there. It started outside the house when I went to ground a little bit with the tree and then I had to stop myself. going upstairs I definitely felt the pressure in my chest and throat..I don't know how to thank you for the wonderful experience of meeting you and all your friends, everyone was just wonderful.. tell them all I said thank you for the great time.. This past weekend I attended your paranormal seminar the 14th/15th, in Atchison,Kansas. This was the first opportunity that I have had like this,being able to participate in actually being a "part" of something much bigger. I went in with an open mind, not so much a skeptic,but wanting something to back up my feelings/ideas perception on the paranormal. I took quite a few great photos with a cheap disp. camera and managed to get some "very interesting photos". I was particularly impressed by the contact made by Micheal E. with energy of "Sallie" with the "divining/doucing rods. Took a few photos during communication process and both photos indicate a solid triangle shape object that was solid(not transparent), which I thought was very interesting. All in all, even though I was hoping for a little more" in your face experience", I came away with this: Just because you can't see "it", doesn't mean it doesn't exist. This weekend showed me that "the belief in something doesn't have to always take manifestation physically,to prove to you it exists. It's a "knowing/faith. Isn't this what moves mountains. Through the activity my husband I witnessed and experienced, I quickly came to realize how unique the house and its secrets were. Not all those I encounter feel the same. Despite these obstacles, I have maintained an interest in the house, the investigators who research it, and the factual representation of information concerning the house, its activity, and the ongoing research efforts. Tony Pickman - My first paranormal experience left me feeling that a demonic presence resided in my childhood bedroom. Since that time I have stayed far away from any interest in the field. The experiences in the Sallie House brought back those memories and experiences and -- along with my Catholic upbringing -- terrified me. We remained in the Sallie house for several reasons; curiosity, the need for answers about the strange things that we experienced, and lack of money to move to another place were among them. After finally leaving the house, I stayed as far away from it as I could, even though my wife did everything she could to go back to it. After 10 years, I decided to confront the fears I had built up. Now, and although I never really let my guard down, I have taken part in the ongoing investigations into the house and have returned several times. It is a different experience for me now. I am no longer a victim, but a researcher.
This haunting has been in a class by itself simply by the conditions that seem to exist. There have been full bodied apparitions, apportations, and objects flying through the air. Items have been moved, misplaced or lost only to show up later or at another location. Phantom furniture has been heard along with thumps, thuds, knocks, scratchings and the the sound of animals and human voices. Although some voices have been heard with the naked ear, there has been an amazing amount of EVP (Electromagnet Voice Phenomena) captured, further depicting the voices of men, women and children. Lastly, and likely most famously, there has been physical harm to occupants and investigators in the form of scratches, burns and cuts. Although the majority of these attacks have often been centered on Tony himself, there have been a few others who have also been the focus of the physical harassment.
Investigations into this house continue, but it was initially investigated by the television show Sightings back when Tony and Debra Pickman lived there with there newborn son. Numerous psychics have entered to try to help us along the way, including Barbara Conner and world renowned Peter James, who has worked on the haunting of the Queen Mary for many years. Many investigative groups have used dousing rods, crystals and pendulums, and some have tried to set up controlled ESP situations. Since the activity seems to be so constant, some groups, very dedicated to learning more about the paranormal, have used the house as an experimental laboratory and have obtained some remarkable evidence to further the study of the paranormal.
